We offer a full range of agricultural products and services, including grain handling and marketing, crop protection, crop nutrients, seed, precision ag, bulk feed manufacturing and delivery, tire and small engine service, convenience store and Cardtrol locations, and bulk delivery of energy products, including refined fuels, propane, and lubricants. Farmward also provides producer financing, leasing, crop insurance, and property & casualty insurance through our subsidiary companies, AgQuest Financial and Northland Capital.

Summary:
The primary role of the Customer Service and Admin Support position is to oversee the customer service function for Farmward Cooperative. This position also supports Farmward's investment note program, patron equity redemption activities, accounts receivable, and administrative support. Responsibilities include greeting customers, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner, answering multi‑line telephones, and providing general administrative support to Farmward's accounting and administrative teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain the company's financial security by following established internal accounting controls. Answer multi-line telephone system and direct calls accordingly. Greet the public and answer questions in person and by telephone; address inquiries from customers, employees, and others and refer, when necessary, to the appropriate person or department within the company. Collect, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing company mail. Assist customers with account payments and general account-related questions. Take fuel orders from customers and direct their fulfillment accordingly. Order office supplies and maintain inventory at established levels. Assist employees with customer account information and related requests, as needed. Assist with stuffing, sorting, and mailing monthly customer statements. Assist with fiscal year-end accounting and administrative tasks. Cross-trained to provide primary or back-up support for Farmward's member investment note program. Cross-trained to provide back-up support for accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. Cross-trained to perform accounting and system functions across all Farmward departments, including grain, agronomy, energy, feed and retail. Contribute to the accounting team's overall success by performing tasks required to achieve department and company goals. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as administrative work or bookkeeping. Two years of progressively responsible administrative, customer service, or accounting‑related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service focus with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals. Ability to effectively multi‑task and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment. Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Ability to learn new software systems, accounting platforms, and digital tools as required. High level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
