Job Description

Job Summary The Grand Marais State Bank in Ortonville, MN is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to develop professionally while contributing to our values of teamwork and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for answering telephones, processing customer transactions, establishing depository account relationships, resolving inquiries efficiently, and ensuring every customer interaction leaves a positive impression. Duties Respond promptly and professionally to customer issues or inquiries in person and/or via phone or email Process secure customer transactions including verifying deposits/withdrawals, applying loan payments, completing cash advances, etc., ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Cross-Sell Bank products and services such as Cashier's Checks, Personal Money Orders, and Gift Cards as requested Comply with established balancing standards and cash drawer levels Prepare follow-up correspondence for new accounts/customers Assist the operations staff with daily duties and projects Comply with Bank Secrecy Act Policy (BSA) and all Bank Secrecy Regulations Skills Familiarity with banking or financial services such as cash handling, debits/credits, and cashiering procedures is advantageous Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette are necessary Proficiency in computer literacy, data entry, and typing accuracy is necessary Ability to perform basic math calculations is essential Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail is preferred Experience in fraud detection and prevention is advantageous Join us in delivering outstanding service from communities in northeastern Minnesota to the agricultural community of southwestern Minnesota.
