Service Writer/Advisor

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team in a dynamic automotive environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively upsell services and manage customer relationships. Duties Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for technicians. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and services, including air brake systems, shocks, struts, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance. Effectively upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and repairs. Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles throughout the service process. Manage service appointments and follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction. Uphold dealership standards for quality service management and customer care. Requirements Proven experience in automotive repair or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices. Strong understanding of brake systems, shocks, struts, tire service, and other automotive components. Excellent communication skills with the ability to align customer needs with available services. Experience in up-selling automotive services is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
