In this role, you will be the vital link between design concepts and production, ensuring that all visual materials are accurately prepared for printing and customer distribution. You will also serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing project workflows. Your expertise in graphic design and prepress production processes will drive the seamless execution of customers' label orders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend creative skills with technical precision in a fast-paced environment committed to quality and a high level of customer support.
Responsibilities:
Prepare print-ready files using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other digital design tools, ensuring accurate color management, layout design, typesetting, and file specifications for various media. Review and prepare digital artwork for production. Reviews the job jacket to confirm customer's specifications have been met (material, lam/topcoat, finish position, label per roll count). Processes existing artwork for re-order jobs. Creates art files for production from approved customer proofs, adding or adjusting when necessary (bleeds, text and art). Adding die line files to the archive for future use. Conduct quality checks on prepress files to prevent printing errors or delays; troubleshoot technical issues related to color theory, layout design, or file compatibility. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of printed product labels. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly, managing project timelines efficiently, and offering creative solutions aligned with branding goals. Prepares and sends quotes to customers. Obtains the pertinent details to provide an accurate quote. Employ knowledge of printing techniques to achieve customer's desired outcome. Working with other vendors to quote and include specialized printing or external production requirements. Receive and process order requests. Print necessary documentation for customer order and pull any previous job jacket(s). Write up order(s) in Quickbooks and produce box and core labels. Work with lead to process job jackets and check on necessary materials. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience in graphic design with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Confident communication skills to interpret and share job updates, changes, and solutions with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Willingness to support team operations, including assisting others and stepping in as backup when needed. Detail-oriented and committed to producing quality work Confidently able to perform simple math Strong computer skills, including knowledge of: Microsoft applications (excel, word, outlook); Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) Prior Prepress experience a bonus Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and navigate changing priorities. Ability to multitask, manage time and prioritize work orders Be willing to take direction, but be able to work independently. Be willing to ask for help, identify issues, and learn from your mistakes. Education - Bachelor's degree or comparable.
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
