This position is responsible for answering phone calls, typing orders into a database from local and national customers, and being knowledgeable of garage door parts and hardware. The position works with customers and internal staff to process orders, clarify or correct orders, and ensure accuracy. The position requires the use of oral and written communication to communicate effectively across departments. The ideal candidate is open to learning, must have good problem-solving skills, effective communication, and excellent attendance. The ideal candidate has the ability to exercise good judgement, utilize problem-solving skills, maintain an open line of communication with the Office Manager and team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook and Excel; 10-Key typing and typing with accuracy. Previous experience in an office setting in shipping or manufacturing is preferred, but not required. Candidate will have the opportunity to acquire new skills progressively as skills are developed.
