Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance with our skilled technicians. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in dealership environments, auto service management, and automotive diagnostics will be highly valued to ensure exceptional customer service and accurate service writing. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport. Assess vehicle issues by listening to customer concerns and performing basic inspections. Write detailed service estimates, including repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension, tire services, and more. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding repair needs and timelines. Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle condition and manufacturer recommendations. Manage repair orders from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently. Maintain detailed records of services performed and communicate findings clearly to customers. Keep up-to-date with automotive repair procedures, including diesel engine repair, auto body repair, air brake systems, alignment, shocks & struts, and other specialized services. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive auto service management background. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Ability to perform or understand auto estimating and service writing processes. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor. Skilled in upselling additional services while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Familiarity with automotive repair specialties such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, tire service, suspension work, diesel engines, auto body repairs, and more. Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus. Capable of handling cash transactions accurately. Effective communication skills to liaise between customers and technicians seamlessly.
