Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional shopping experiences! In this role, you'll be the friendly face that greets customers, handles transactions efficiently, and provides outstanding service. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment, promote products, and ensure every customer leaves satisfied. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision. Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections or demos. Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible. Conduct product demos when appropriate to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and assisting with inventory counts to keep the store well-stocked. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette by answering inquiries professionally and directing calls appropriately. Support sales goals through effective upselling techniques and personalized customer interactions. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth daily operations. Skills Proficiency with POS systems for quick and accurate checkout transactions. Prior supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is highly valued. Ability to perform retail math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations confidently. Excellent communication skills in both English and bilingual settings to connect with diverse customers. Experience conducting product demos to educate customers and promote sales effectively. Strong phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or via digital channels. Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and grocery store operations is a plus. Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining genuine customer care. Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and transaction accuracy.
