Job Description

Job Overview Pinkerton Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Receptionist/Client Service Representative to join our veterinary team. In this important role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and patients, helping create a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork and excellent customer service. This is a full-time Monday-Friday position with no weekends required, plus paid holidays. Schedule & Benefits Monday-Friday schedule No weekends Paid holidays Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth within the veterinary field Duties Greet clients warmly and assist with patient check-in and check-out Answer phones professionally and assist clients with scheduling appointments, medication requests, and general questions Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records Communicate clearly with veterinarians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care Assist with administrative duties including filing, email communication, and record management Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area Provide compassionate and professional customer service to clients during both routine and urgent situations Help support daily clinic operations in a fast-paced veterinary environment Qualifications Previous veterinary clinic or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment Comfortable around dogs and cats Basic computer and phone skills required Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure Knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate Why Join Our Team?
