JOB SUMMARY
Fargo Trailer Center, a subsidiary company of Wallwork Inc., is in search of a full-time Service Advisor to join our team! The role of the Service Advisor is to exercise direct supervision of technicians and assist them when necessary in diagnosis of mechanical difficulties and recommending needed repairs. Pay- $50k - $58k + commission. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
(minimum requirements) Education and/or years' experience required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of two years mechanical experience. Minimum on year supervisory or leadership experience. Valid Class A driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): Supervisory responsibilities are required with this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
Assist the Service department in greeting customers, selling service labor, writing repair orders and estimates the costs of repairs within set guidelines. Work with the Service department in managing the technicians and the scheduling of repairs to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed. Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled and exceeds the customer's expectations. Lead Technicians in any maintenance and repairs as needed. Inspect and, if necessary, road test vehicles upon completion of work to insure quality of repairs performed. Schedule appointments using dealership's approved forms or systems. Listen to customer's reason for bringing their truck to the service department and find a resolution. Offer a logical diagnostic service or repair to satisfy the customers concerns. Provide accurate estimate for labor and parts. Ensure mechanical repairs on customers' trucks performed as required to meet customers' needs. If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time considerations. Keep shop area neat and clean; promote safe work habits and ensure that safety rules are followed. Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance. Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor. Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
