Job Description

Shires Equestrian, established in 1968, has grown from small beginnings into a recognized and trusted brand worldwide. With bases in the United Kingdom, Ireland, China and the United States. Our philosophy has always remained the same, to offer consumers high quality products at an affordable price, this has helped us to become one of Europe's largest manufacturers and distributors of equestrian equipment and riding wear. Our North American distribution office, now located in Epping, NH, opened in 2008. Rapidly growing, we are currently looking to fill a Customer Service and Administrative Assistant Role. The Job
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, check and return voicemails. Customer Service
  • Take orders from customers by phone or email and place on order management system.
Reach out to customers regarding order or account status by phone or email as needed. Assist customers with product questions and measurements. Consumer and wholesale website maintenance. Sales calls to wholesale customers. Compose and distribute emails, letters, faxes and forms. Process returns daily. Oversee e-commerce accounts and work with warehouse to ensure orders are shipping timely. Maintain filing systems and contact lists and customer binders. Data entry & maintenance as needed. Additional clerical duties as assigned by managers
  • copying, mailing, etc. Assist with cleaning and organization of office and common areas. Assist in maintaining office supply inventory. Support other department (office and warehouse) activities and functions as needed. The Requirements
  • Knowledge of equestrian equipment and horseback riding is encouraged.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar administrative role. Proficient typing skills are a must! Have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects through completion, a true self starter. Highly organized and detail-orientated. Must be flexible, willing and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must have the ability to function efficiently and effectively under deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
