Front End Associate

Job Summary The Front End Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. This position involves operating cash registers, handling transactions, and providing assistance to customers as they navigate the store. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, contributing to a positive shopping environment. Duties Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately. Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and processing credit/debit card payments. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selections. Demonstrate products to customers and promote sales through effective communication. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front end of the store. Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. Utilize retail math skills to process transactions accurately and manage register balances. Exhibit professional phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred. Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate financial records. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
