Front Register Staff/Customer Service

Job Summary:

Be the friendly face of our halal Mediterranean grill, handling orders and ensuring a welcoming experience for TCNJ students and locals. Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers, explain menu/halal options, and process orders via POS system. Handle cash/credit transactions accurately and efficiently. Assemble and pack orders (wraps, platters) with attention to quality. Maintain a clean dining area, restock supplies, and collect feedback. Assist with light prep or cleaning during downtime.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:

1+ year in customer service or retail; basic math/POS skills. Outgoing personality with strong communication. Ability to stand for shifts and handle fast-paced rushes. Positive attitude and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

2+ years in food service, with knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine. Experience in college-town or fast-casual environments. Bilingual in English/Spanish for diverse customer interactions.

Desired Education & Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training from programs like Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) or Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) a plus.

Mandatory:

ServSafe Food Handler Certification (will help obtain within 30 days).

Preferred:

Customer service accreditation from NRF (National Retail Federation) or basic POS training. How to
