Under immediate supervision of the Dietary Director, the Food Service Representative performs various duties as needed in the kitchen, tray line, on patent floors and in the cafeteria. The job is considered routine difficulty. The Food Service Representative is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in institutional food service with therapeutic diets is preferred. Required Licensure/Certification(s): Current Food Handlers certification required. Competency is evaluated based on assessment of the nurses ability to utilize the nursing process as it applies to formulating an appropriate plan for care and analyzing the effectiveness of interventions. Duties are of considerable difficulty and are based on scientific principles and standards of nursing practice. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Education:

Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma Program is required. Bachelors in Nursing is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred. Demonstrates ability to correctly interpret cardiac rhythms and implement appropriate intervention. Demonstrates ability to provide care that is appropriate for age, culture and disease process for Pediatrics, Adults, Adolescents and Geriatrics.

Requirements:

Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico. Current verification in Basic Life Support is required. If BLS verification is not current upon hire, must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

- Completion of ACLS within three (3) months of hire and PALS within six (6) months of hire required.
