  • Full-time As a Customer Service Representative for Kit Carson Propane, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, act as a liaison, provide information, answer questions and efficiently performing essential propane bottle filling and dock operations.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in customers and telephone inquiries regarding propane services, deliveries, billing, and general information. Process customer payments and manage daily cash reconciliation accurately. Schedule propane deliveries and service appointments using company software. Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information, tank details, and service history. Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally, escalating complex problems to the appropriate supervisor when necessary. Educate customers on safety procedures, tank ownership, and available products/services. Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining a tidy office and dock area. Safely and accurately fill propane cylinders according to strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Inspect cylinders for damage, leaks, or expiration dates before and after filling; remove non-compliant cylinders from service. Operate and maintain filling equipment, scales, and dispensers. Ensure propane cylinders are properly secure for transport. Other duties as needed.
What you bring:
Must have or obtain an LP09 Classification within 90 days of employment for filling various sizes of propane cylinders up to 100 # cylinders. Interpersonal and customer service skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Multitasking and organizational skills. Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily. Ability to share work among a customer service team. Attentiveness and patience Time-management skills. Ability to find the positive in any situation. Cashiering experience (preferred) Bottle/Cylinder filling experience (preferred) Bilingual (Spanish/English) (preferred).
