Job Description
Position Summary Answers general public questions through the Vote Line and Mail Ballot Hotline, handles overflow signature cure calls, and assists with data entry while providing accurate, nonpartisan voter service. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from voters and the public regarding general election information, mail ballot questions, voting options, deadlines, and approved County procedures. Handle overflow signature cure calls when assigned and provide only approved information, scripts, and escalation options. Verify information, document calls, enter notes, update records, or route inquiries in designated systems according to training. Escalate complex, urgent, accessibility, language-access, legal, policy, or unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or team. Provide courteous, patient, clear, and nonpartisan service even during high call volume or stressful situations. Assist with data entry, email support, voicemail follow-up, report updates, and other hotline support duties as assigned. Protect voter privacy, confidential records, and system access credentials at all times. Required Skills and Competencies Good judgment and decision-making when applying call scripts, FAQs, and escalation rules. Clear communication, active listening, customer service, and patience. Attention to detail and proficient computer skills for accurate call documentation and data entry. Team-oriented approach and ability to adapt to changing call queues or priorities. Nonpartisan conduct and respect for voters and members of the public. Minimum Qualifications and Compliance Requirements Background check and drug screening required before assignment. Registered Clark County voter and willing to disclose political affiliation if required for the assignment. Must complete required hotline, voter-service, confidentiality, and systems training before taking calls. Schedule and Working Conditions Call center or office environment involving phone use, computer work, data entry, and high-volume call queues. May require extended or weekend hours near mail ballot deadlines, Early Voting, and Election Day. Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off. Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day. Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment. Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards. Performance Expectations Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures. Maintains nonpartisan conduct, voter confidentiality, ballot security, and respectful service at all times. Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead. Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.

Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
