is seeking to hire full-time Service & Warranty Writer for the Syracuse Branch. Heavy equipment includes equipment such as excavators, back hoes, dozers, etc. This position is responsible for creating repair orders, completing the warranty process for equipment warranties, communicating repair needs and timelines, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring a positive and efficient customer experience.
A successful candidate will:
Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression. Open and manage warranty and non-warranty repair orders, accurately documenting customer concerns and vehicle information. Communicate with customers regarding repair status, warranty status, estimated completion times, and any changes or additional work needed. Coordinate with technicians to clarify repair requests, verify coverage, and prioritize work based on urgency and shop capacity. Prepare and review repair estimates, obtain customer authorization, and ensure all documentation meets manufacturer and company requirements. Review completed work orders for accuracy, ensuring proper labor, parts, and warranty coding prior to invoicing. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure timely parts availability and minimize repair delays. Ensure warranty paperwork is properly completed and submitted according to OEM and dealership guidelines. Maintain organized files and accurate service records. Promote service department specials, preventive maintenance, and additional repair recommendations as appropriate. Uphold dealership standards for safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
