Job Description

Overview CBN LLC, operating is seeking a dependable and tech-savvy Technical Service Representative to join our growing team in Geneva, NY. CBN is committed to bridging the digital divide by delivering reliable, affordable broadband services to underserved communities throughout Geneva and surrounding areas. This hybrid position combines-office customer support with field service work, assisting customers with sales inquiries, billing questions, technical troubleshooting, and onsite service installations. If you enjoy solving technical problems, working hands-on with equipment, and providing excellent customer service, we encourage you to apply. Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding technical support, billing, and service questions.
  • Troubleshoot internet service issues remotely and onsite.
  • Open, document, and resolve service tickets through completion.
  • Set up new customer accounts and provision equipment (routers, modems, wireless equipment, VoIP devices, etc.).
  • Conduct service audits to ensure billing accuracy and proper account setup.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service updates, and account changes.
  • Coordinate daily schedules and dispatch needs with field technicians and operations staff.
  • Educate customers on service features, equipment usage, and basic troubleshooting steps.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE when performing fieldwork.
  • Represent CBN LLC professionally, maintaining a positive attitude and respectful interactions at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a customer-focused, technically inclined professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality service. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, can manage responsibilities independently, and thrives in both office and field environments.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus).
  • Previous experience in customer service, telecommunications, broadband, or field installation preferred.
  • Comfortable working with computers, networking equipment, routers, wireless systems, and hand/power tools.
  • Basic understanding of IP networking and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied indoor/outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Willingness to travel within the Geneva service area.
