Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using computer systems and data entry tools Provide clear explanations of medical procedures, billing processes, and insurance coverage in a compassionate manner Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, updating medical office databases with relevant information Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient needs are addressed efficiently and effectively Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations such as HIPAA Support the medical office team by performing basic administrative tasks and troubleshooting technical issues Requirements Proven experience in customer service within a healthcare setting or medical office environment is preferred Strong understanding of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and general office software Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues Analysis skills to identify issues quickly and provide appropriate solutions or escalate when necessary This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality healthcare delivery.
