Call Center Agent/Collections Specialist Job Description Full-Time Hours:
M-F 8a-5pm BONUS opportunity available. Most staff receive a bonus in their first month, regardless of experience. $17-18.50 Hourly base pay + performance bonus averaging $3.25-$8/hr equivalent Pay is based on experience. It's time to look into our collection specialist role! Collections Specialist are responsible for overseeing assigned accounts to resolve unpaid bills or debts from patients and consumers. Resolution occurs through asking questions, listening with purpose, and negotiating with confidence. A Collections Specialist will have to be polite and sensitive towards people while also remaining committed to their purpose and persistent. We are looking for a reliable Collections Specialist to contact consumers, provide realistic options to resolve, and negotiate with kindness. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and polite in stressful situations are important. Main Job Duties and Responsibilities Make in-bound and out-bound phone calls to consumers Provide consumers with information on account balances and details on those services Handle questions or complaints Investigate and resolve discrepancies Create trust relationships with consumers, provide options to resolve, and support consumers throughout the resolution process Update account status and database regularly Alert superiors of consumers needing additional assistance Comply with requirements as trained Other duties as assigned, including input into policies, guidelines, and scripts in compliance with FDCPA and ACA standards Education and Experience Proven experience in a phone or in-person customer service role Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines Working knowledge of MS Office and/or databases Excellent communication and people skills Apt in negotiating and persuading Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence High school diploma is preferred Key Skills and Competencies communication skills attention to detail problem solving innovative initiative flexible stress tolerance team player
