Job Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Chicken Service Representative to join our team in Fort Recovery. The primary goal of this position is to work closely with the Live Production Manager, service representatives and growers to continually monitor the health of chickens.
Ensure good health of birdsUse the PIP program for all growers who are having any management shortcomings.
Troubleshoot and work to solve disease problems that ariseCommunicate effectively with growersComplete all records, fill out reports and visit farms weeklyTrain all growers on proper husbandry techniques, animal welfare guidelines and procedures.
Ensure all vaccinations are completed as scheduledEnsure all required paperwork is completed and in proper order at each farm
SHIFT HOURS
Monday through Friday (Salary 1st shift)STARTING RATE
Commensurate with experienceADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)Job Functions:
