JOB SUMMARY
Guest Service Agents are responsible for providing attentive, authentic, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. While maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience:
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
Physical requirements:
Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Light work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during entire shift.
General Requirements:
Flexible schedule, available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Hours 3pm-11pm Mental requirements: Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and written. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace; including, anticipating, preventing and identifying issues and solving them quickly. Must be able to work and understand financial information, data and basic arithmetic functions.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Essential:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing proper uniform and name tag when working. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with InnCline Management standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Must clock in for each scheduled shift within a 5-minute grace period of printed schedule. Comply at all times with InnCline Management standards and regulations to encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times. Greet and welcome guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with training. Handle requests for information, mail and messages in an efficient and courteous manner. Answer guest inquiries about hotel service, facilities and hours of operation. Answer guest inquiries regarding local area restaurants, transportation and entertainment. Establish and maintain professional communication and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel. Be aware of all rates, package promotions, hotel groups and aware of peak dates and closed out or restricted dates. Obtain all necessary information while taking reservations and follow rate quoting training. Handle check-in and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner. Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system. Be familiar with all InnCline Management policies and house rules as well as hospitality terminology. Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required. Employee may request off 21-Days outside of regularly scheduled days per year.
