Our firm has attorneys licensed in OR, WA, and ID, and we're looking for empathetic people who like to work on the phone. You will be working to serve our clients in setting up payment arrangements for debts owed to them. This position can be stressful and difficult but, rewarding at the same time. It is important to us that we treat everyone we come into contact with respectfully and provide a supportive environment in which to help individuals resolve their financial dilemmas. You will be asked to maintain a positive and composed persona when talking to others in difficult situations. Excellent communication, quick thinking, attention to detail, and a general like for your fellow human are skills that will serve you well here. If you're looking for place to take your people skills to the next level, we'd love to meet you! Responsibilities Keep track of assigned accounts in our industry-specific database. Work collaboratively over the phone with individuals to set up successful repayment options. Perform online and telephone research to locate individuals. Handle questions or complaints with grace and understanding. Create trust relationships with individuals over the phone so they are comfortable speaking with you openly. Updating account status and electronic notes while on the phone. Communicate effectively with superiors regarding questions, complaints, challenges, payment plan offers, and more. Adherence to all applicable law, regulations, and policies with strict attention to detail. Reliable attendance is a must. Skills Proven experience on the phone with distressed individuals. Experience in working with performance goals and tight deadlines. Knowledge of or ability to learn relevant industry legal requirements. Working knowledge of MS Office, databases, and general familiarity with computers, including ability to learn new software. Excellent communication and people skills. Apt in negotiations. Ability to be polite and compassionate. Reliable with attendance.
