Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for processing transactions. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in merchandising products effectively to enhance the shopping experience. Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Upsell products when appropriate to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility. Bilingual candidates are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing inventory and sales tracking.
