Propane Operations Associate and Customer Service Representative

Role Overview:

You will be the "face of the company," handling customer inquiries and transactions while also safely operating the propane dispensing station. This role alternates between an office/counter environment and the outdoor filling area.

Customer Service & Office Duties Customer Interaction:

Greet customers in person and by phone, providing product information in a friendly and professional manner.

Transaction Processing:

Handle counter sales, process payments (cash/credit), and maintain accurate customer records in the CRM.

Order Management:

Take orders for new services, schedule delivery dates, and coordinate with service technicians.

Administrative Support:

Assist with billing inquiries, light collections, and maintaining operational records.

Propane Operations & Dispenser Management Cylinder Filling:

Safely fill DOT cylinders for customers, ensuring they are never filled beyond 80% capacity.

Safety Inspections:

Conduct mandatory pre-fill visual checks for defects, leaks, bulging, or expired re qualification dates.

Dispenser Operation:

Maintain and secure the propane dispenser and transfer area; manage ignition sources and prevent unauthorized access.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine inspections of valves, piping, and hoses; ensure the filling area is clean and complies with fire safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements Safety First:

Must have a high awareness for safety and the ability to follow precise procedures to prevent hazardous incidents.

Certifications:

Most roles require specific training, such as the CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) or "Dispensing Propane Safely" program.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and move heavy propane tanks (up to 175 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Hazmat Training:

complete DOT hazmat training (e.g., HM-126F) within the first 90 days

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
