Job Description

Job Overview Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment. Every day brings new challenges, from helping worried pet owners to coordinating appointments and supporting our medical team. While a love of animals is important, this role is primarily focused on customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving. Successful candidates are kind, dependable, maintain composure during stressful situations, and are able to remain calm and professional when priorities change throughout the day. We are an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified practice committed to exceptional medicine, compassionate care, and a supportive team culture. Schedule Requirements Full-time position Willingness to work at both York and Dover locations Every other Saturday (8:00 am - 12:00 pm) Evening shifts until 6:00 pm No overnight or on-call shifts Responsibilities Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently Assist clients with questions regarding appointments, services, medications, and patient care Communicate clearly with veterinarians, technicians, and fellow client service representatives Relay messages accurately and promptly Maintain complete and accurate client records Process payments and manage financial transactions Provide a welcoming, compassionate experience for clients and patients Assist with general front office responsibilities What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Excellent attendance and reliability — our clients, patients, and team members depend on each person being present and on time for their scheduled shifts Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations Comfort handling multiple tasks and frequent interruptions Strong attention to detail Ability to learn new software and procedures Professional, positive attitude Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong computer and typing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent attendance and punctuality. Because our clients, patients, and coworkers depend on us, reliable attendance is considered an essential function of this position. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Veterinary, medical, dental, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to applicants with a consistent employment history and a demonstrated commitment to reliability, professionalism, and long-term employment.
