Job Description
Call Center Job Description The key function of the Call Center specialist is to display an exemplary First Impression to our patients. As the Call Center Specialist is usually the first interaction a patient or guest has with the practice, displaying our core values and reputation is of highest importance. This starts with a cheerful and welcoming attitude.
Job Duties and Functions:
Answer heavy phone volume of incoming calls with a smile. Accurately verify demographics, insurance, and guarantor information. Also verify if Longview, Marshall, Carthage and Mt Pleasant are in network with the patient's benefits. Schedule appointments, direct calls to appropriate departments and provide general information. Including but not limited to explanation of benefits, location, pricing, and doctor specialties. Communicate with Front desk and other Call Center staff any changes on the schedule or patient benefits. Return missed calls notated on Weave and schedule the patient or direct them to the appropriate department. Direct Weave messages to appropriate departments and return messages for scheduling or insurance verification. This may include tagging the Weave message or copying it to the appropriate Teams channel. Help fill out fee tickets and load them into Teams Fee ticket channel or patient's chart as warranted. Add patient's Explanation of benefits to patient files. Be a "practice promoter" to everyone calling the office. Exemplify an attitude of "kindness, not rightness" on the phone. Report to management/leadership any patient challenges or complaints, likewise, maintain and document all patient testimonials. Knowledge or willingness to learn Crystal PM, TEAMS, WEAVE and insurance websites for verification of benefits. Bilingual a plusBenefits:
