Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Customer Service & Administrative Professional to join our team at Vermilion Dock & Lift! In this vital role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, manage daily office operations, and provide exceptional support to our team to ensure smooth business functions. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help foster a welcoming environment while efficiently handling administrative tasks. Your role ensures our customers needs are taken care of in a timely manner and guarantees a postitive interaction with our business. Greet visitors and clients with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage customer interaction with our business ranging from phone calls, texts, to emails. At times, there will be high call volume and it is critical to keep messages and information organized. Assist with scheduling our crews and day to day barge operations Assist with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online Support office management duties such as supply inventory, mail handling, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Provide customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally via phone or email. This will include billing/payments, scheduling repairs or service work, signing up for seasonal services, and troubleshooting. Assist with payroll and other employee needs Skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Exceptional phone etiquette skills Previous office experience or clerical background demonstrating familiarity with administrative procedures. Knowledge of QuickBooks for bookkeeping is preferred but not required; training can be provided. Strong attention to detail Time management skills that enable prioritization of tasks efficiently throughout the workday. Work independently and be a self-starter with a positive attitude! This role will primarily be in person at our office with some hybrid work from home hours. Seasonal opportunity with fluctuating hours based upon the season.
