Customer Support Specialist - Schaumburg, IL $55,000 - $70,000/Annually + Free Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) + PTO + Hybrid Schedule + 401K Match We are a leading manufacturer of industrial safety equipment, providing essential solutions for manufacturing, warehousing, and construction environments across North America. With more than 40 years of industry experience, we have built a strong reputation for dependable products, responsive customer service, and long-standing customer relationships. We are currently seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting customers throughout the order process while ensuring accurate order management, timely communication, and a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting that combines customer interaction, order coordination, and administrative support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Account Support Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, pricing, product availability, shipping updates, and general account questions Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone and email while providing professional and timely support Build and maintain positive customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up Assist customers with returns, order changes, and issue resolution as needed Order Entry & Order Management Process customer orders accurately from entry through shipment and invoicing Review purchase orders, pricing, lead times, and shipping information to ensure accuracy Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders Administrative & Operational Support Maintain accurate customer records, order documentation, and internal reports Support inventory visibility by communicating with warehouse and production teams regarding product availability Assist with data entry, reporting, and additional administrative tasks as needed Work cross-functionally with customer service, operations, production, and shipping teams to support smooth daily operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service and order entry experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset Experience processing orders, handling customer inquiries, and coordinating with internal teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/order management systems preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively •Corporate Resources has been hired by our client to recruit for this open position and any/all other positions as requested and posted.
