Gmail Full Job Description Call Center Intake Specialist Job Description:
The Call Center Intake Specialist is responsible for answering the Hope Not Handcuffs Hope Line with professionalism and compassion. This role involves phone coaching, assisting individuals in accessing resources for substance use disorder, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring accurate reporting through the Hope Not Handcuffs data system. The specialist will also perform follow-ups with team members, Angel volunteers, and callers, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer the Hope Not Handcuffs Hope Line in a professional and compassionate manner Assist individuals with accessing support resources for substance use disorder Work with community partners to provide comprehensive information and referrals Follow up with Angel volunteer regarding the outcome of police department calls or online assessment placement information Utilize the Hope Not Handcuffs data system and reporting platforms to complete intake for treatment and other FAN services Report data and outcomes regularly Communicate during and after each shift with other team members regarding that day's intakes and any calls requiring additional follow-up Maintain confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines (HIPAA) Meet with Program Director for monthly check-in meetings Build and maintain rapport with individuals seeking linkage to services Represent the organization in a professional manner at all times Support and effectively communicate with all FAN team members Conduct follow-up calls (60 days, 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year) as needed Adjust hours of work based on community needs, including working one weekend a month and some evenings Establish and maintain liaison relationships with appropriate agencies regarding substance use treatment and community resources Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and sit, stand, bend, climb, carry and/or reach frequently and for extended periods of time
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, CCAR certificate of completion Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar) Must have a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation Must pass a background check and drug screen within 48 hours of being offered a position Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
