Job Description
Exciting Member Service Representative opportunity with an established healthcare client.
Contract Duration:
17 - 18 Months This position is 100% remote but there is an initial 2 week training in San Diego, CA so candidates must live within commute distance of Mission Valley in San Diego. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, finance, or related field ( preferred ) Strong proficiency in: Math Data entry Typing Spelling and grammar Proven customer service success Ability to analyze and solve quantitative and qualitative problems Clear and professional communication skills PC/Windows computer experience Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to change What You Will Be Doing The Medicare Member Service Representative is responsible for account maintenance, billing, reconciliation, reporting, and customer service activities. This role supports membership, eligibility, billing accuracy, and internal operations through data management, customer interaction, and administrative support. Daily Responsibilities Key Accountabilities Identify, research, and reconcile billing and payment discrepancies Maintain accurate member data (enrollments, corrections, retroactivity, terminations) Support member and eligibility inquiries Ensure accurate and timely billing Interact with purchaser benefit administrators regarding health plan policies and contracts Resolve membership, billing, and payment issues Assist sales, service representatives, and purchaser contacts Process payment discrepancies and delinquencies Identify, code, batch, scan, and index documents for imaging systems Provide office support (mail handling, filing, supplies, photocopying, facilities tasks) Collaborate with internal and external customers and vendors Track productivity and customer service quality metrics Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with training as needed Facilitate communication across departments and lines of business Participate in purchaser performance evaluations and target setting Perform other duties as assignedSimilar remote jobs
