Job Description

Role:
Deliver outstanding service to members by handling financial transactions accurately and efficiently in a welcoming and professional environment. Accurately process financial transactions involving cash and checks while maintaining proper balancing procedures and compliance standards. Build strong member relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending relevant credit union products and services that support members' financial well-being.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist members in a professional and friendly manner while providing accurate information regarding credit union products and services. Accurately process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with established procedures. Promote and educate members on credit union products and services that best meet their financial needs through consultative conversations and relationship building. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance daily transactions in accordance with established balancing and performance standards. Complete report preparation, data entry, record maintenance, and other assigned tasks to support branch operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
Maintain the confidentiality and security of member account information at all times. Provide professional, courteous, and personalized service to members and team members. Accurately process and balance daily transactions in accordance with established standards. Resolve member and internal inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally. Maintain knowledge of credit union accounts, products, and services to effectively assist members and identify referral opportunities. Complete all required training and comply with applicable security procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements, including Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and IT Security standards
Interpersonal Skills:
Courtesy, professionalism, and effective communication are essential in this role. Frequent interaction with members and team members requires strong interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills. The ability to provide accurate information, build positive relationships, and utilize technology effectively is necessary for success in this position.
Other Skills:
Proficient computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to learn multiple systems efficiently. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and member information. Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in accordance with credit union policies and values. Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25 pounds. Experience Required A minimum of six months of similar or related experience.
