Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Technical Support Representative (TSR) is to perform multi-faceted duties as both a customer support specialist and gunsmith.
These duties entail:
resolving customer service issues, including firearms technical and repair inquiries, consumer-direct retail customer issues, making recommendations to customers regarding selection/purchasing of Beretta products, use and care of Beretta products after purchase and servicing firearms. As required, attends shooting events/shows and provides customer support and gunsmithing support. Initially performs gunsmithing duties in an apprenticeship role with the potential to advance to a master gunsmith role.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responds to telephone, mail, email, and fax inquiries involving products, services, and accessories. Makes recommendations as to the type of firearms/ammunition to be purchased or used. Assists customers in returning firearms for repair by providing shipping, packing and other instructions. Performs gunsmithing duties under the supervision of the Service Department. Performs gun "check-in" functions in support of the service department Attends shooting events and shows in both a technical support and gunsmithing role. Assists with other projects as required.
PYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely handle, disassemble/reassemble and verbalize use/troubleshooting of firearms Manual dexterity to perform intricate repairs. Lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds (boxes of guns, equipment, etc.) Bending, stooping and reaching to obtain parts and products. Work is performed in a professional group office environment with potential requirements of performing duties in a warehouse/shop environment In support of shooting events, working in a remote shop environment.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive knowledge and use of firearms strongly preferred. Excellent customer communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate, communicate and resolve issues that involve other company departments and communicate the resolution back to the customer. Ability to work weekends and overtime when necessary. Ability to travel up to 10% required.
EXPERIENCE'EDUCATION
Minimum of 1-year customer service experience Experience with the function/handling of firearms and ammunition strongly preferred. Minimum of 1-year experience with the sporting goods industry. High school diploma or GED required. Gunsmithing experience preferred
