Service Advisor

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your mechanical knowledge and dealership experience will help you deliver exceptional service, promote necessary repairs, and build lasting customer relationships. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport from the first interaction. Listen carefully to customer concerns, accurately documenting vehicle issues and service requests. Use automotive diagnostics knowledge to assess vehicle conditions and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance services. Prepare detailed auto estimates, explaining necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Upsell additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety while respecting customer needs. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of services. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain precise service writing records for billing purposes. Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive repair procedures and dealership service standards to provide transparent advice. Promote automotive repair services confidently through effective communication of benefits to customers. Ensure all customer interactions are handled with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Experience Proven dealership experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes. Experience in upselling automotive services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, suspension work, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Background working with mechanic teams or service technicians to coordinate repairs efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive sales techniques and automobile sales processes is a plus. $48,000.00 - $89,500.00 per year
