Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Representative, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists shoppers with their purchases, provides exceptional service, and ensures smooth store operations. Your proactive approach will help drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote a positive shopping experience. Whether handling transactions at the register or engaging customers with product demos, your contribution will be vital to our store's success. Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product selections or demonstrations Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash, credit card, and mobile payments Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible Upsell relevant products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support store operations through stocking, inventory management, and ensuring the cleanliness of checkout areas Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus) Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently Knowledge of grocery store operations and retail sales techniques is beneficial Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while developing your retail career!
