Customer Support Agent

Red Sea is seeking an experienced professional aquarist with salt water hobby experience to join its growing Technical Support team. Based in our Houston office, this exciting role provides a great opportunity to work alongside Red Sea's support and development teams; influencing product development & improvements and ensuring Red Sea customers receive the very highest level of support.

Key responsibilities:

Providing technical support to Red Sea's trade and consumer customers; predominantly through Zendesk and direct trade/consumer telephone contact. Seeking opportunities to promote Red Sea's products and knowledge base through social media participation.

Required competencies:

Salt water aquarium hobby experience - a must. Capable of diagnosing technical product-related issues, both hardware and chemical-related. Proficient in assembly of aquarium systems, cabinets, lighting systems etc. Comprehensive knowledge of Red Sea's products - a major advantage. Experience with IoT consumer devices - an advantage. Confident telephone manner. Excellent standard of written and verbal English and ability to communicate clearly with hobbyists and retailers. Customer-focused attitude. Ability to work under pressure. Positive attitude and able to work harmoniously within a professional team. Reliable and diligent, with excellent prior work attendance record. This is a full time position , Mon-Fri 8am-4pm in an office setting.
