Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Advisor/Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a smooth flow of communication, accurate service documentation, and exceptional customer service. Your automotive knowledge and sales skills will help drive customer satisfaction and business growth. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service needs Explain repair recommendations clearly, including estimates for parts and labor, and upsell additional services when appropriate Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers Write detailed service orders, maintain accurate records of all transactions, and process invoices efficiently Perform automotive diagnostics and identify mechanical issues such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, oil changes, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Assist with auto estimating and vehicle maintenance planning to ensure timely service delivery Handle cash transactions securely while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process Skills Proven dealership or automotive service management experience with a strong understanding of auto repair procedures Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair techniques including transmissions, oil changes, , brake repairs, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs and all types of trailer repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair workflows Mechanical knowledge complemented by mechanic or service technician experience is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cash handling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing top-tier service Join us at National Trailer Repair where your automotive expertise fuels our success!
