In this energetic role, you'll coordinate freight movements, manage dispatching tasks, and provide top-tier support to drivers, clients, and internal teams. Your expertise in transportation management systems, logistics, and communication will drive efficiency and foster positive relationships across the supply chain. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine, ensuring timely deliveries. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve transportation planning. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times. Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and Freight Management platforms to track shipments, delivery statuses, and inventory movements. Manage shipping & receiving schedules by coordinating with warehouse staff on shipping priorities and freight details. Support fleet management activities by scheduling maintenance, tracking vehicle usage, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain and logistics operations. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management roles within logistics or supply chain environments. Strong knowledge of transportation planning, freight operations, and logistics principles. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms like SyteLine. Proficiency in using GPS technology, GIS tools, and multi-line phone systems for effective communication and route optimization. Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movement, fleet management, and shipping schedules. Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume phone calls with professionalism while maintaining clear communication skills. Experience working with 3PL providers or in shipping & receiving roles is a plus.
