Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Advisor, where your enthusiasm and expertise will drive exceptional customer experiences and ensure vehicle maintenance and repair needs are met with precision. In this energetic role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our skilled technicians, guiding clients through service options, scheduling appointments, and ensuring their vehicles receive top-quality care. Your mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills will help build trust and loyalty while supporting the dealership's commitment to automotive excellence. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen actively to understand their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services. Schedule service appointments efficiently while managing workflow to maximize productivity. Assist customers in selecting appropriate maintenance or repair services, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, tire service, suspension, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Prepare detailed auto estimates using automotive diagnostics tools and service writing software; explain costs transparently. Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and manufacturer recommendations to enhance customer value. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs such as mechanical repairs, transmission work, or complex diagnostics involving engine performance or electrical systems. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain meticulous records of all service activities and customer interactions. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of dealership services including auto estimating, vehicle maintenance procedures, and current automotive repair techniques. Qualifications Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer relations. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engines, and auto body repairs. Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and understanding of mechanical troubleshooting processes. Prior experience in service writing or auto estimating is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency with clients. Familiarity with dealership operations including cash handling and automobile sales processes is preferred.
