Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. In this role, you will be the friendly face that helps customers navigate their shopping experience, handle transactions efficiently, and provide exceptional service. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations at the checkout counter while fostering positive relationships with shoppers. Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product information or demos to enhance their shopping experience Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods confidently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping environment Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently Experience with product demos or upselling techniques to engage customers actively Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette This role requires a motivated individual eager to contribute to a fast-paced retail environment.
