Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Conduct product descriptions to educate customers about the product encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and visually appealing through merchandising and stocking tasks along with the dining room. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic retail math to balance registers at shift end. Demonstrate phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries, ensuring clear communication. Support store operations by assisting team members when needed and assisting guests. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members and managing customer interactions effectively. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs better. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers confidently and professionally in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail settings will provide a solid foundation for understanding store operations and customer expectations.
