In this customer-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for customers bringing in their motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, and other powersports equipment for service and repairs. You will work closely with technicians and the parts department to ensure accurate estimates, timely communication, and an outstanding customer experience from drop-off to pickup. Duties Greet service customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately document service requests and repair orders Communicate repair status updates to customers proactively and professionally throughout the service process Prepare detailed written estimates for labor and parts; obtain customer authorization before work begins Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize workflow and ensure timely completion of repairs Source, look up, and sell parts to service customers and over-the-counter walk-in customers Upsell additional services, maintenance items, and accessories based on technician inspections and customer needs Process completed repair orders, collect payments, and explain all work performed to customers at vehicle pickup Maintain accurate records in the dealer management system (LightSpeed DMS) for repair orders, parts orders, and customer history Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business Assist with parts inventory, ordering, and receiving as needed Requirements Prior experience as a service writer, service advisor, or parts counter associate in powersports, automotive, marine, or related industry preferred Strong knowledge of or passion for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, or other powersports equipment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first attitude Ability to read and interpret parts diagrams, service manuals, and work orders Proficiency with dealer management software or point-of-sale systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Lightspeed, or similar a plus) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple open repair orders simultaneously Basic mechanical aptitude — you don't need to be a technician, but you should understand the work being discussed High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical training a plus Compensation & Benefits $45,000 base salary plus commission — your earning potential grows with your performance Commission paid on parts sales, service labor upsells, and accessory sales Paid time off and holidays Employee discounts on parts, accessories, and services A team-oriented culture built around a shared love of powersports Join us if you're eager to combine your expertise with outstanding customer care!
