Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a non-profit organization in Norfolk, Virginia through a Contract assignment. In this role, you will connect with program participants by phone, gather and record employment updates, and provide helpful guidance to individuals who may need additional workforce support. This opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates clearly, handles outreach with professionalism, and maintains accurate records in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outbound calls to follow up with event participants and gather current status updates.
  • Confirm whether participants are employed and collect relevant job-related details when applicable.
  • Record employer information and other key outcomes with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
  • Encourage participants who are not currently working to visit the Workforce Center on Tuesdays for available services and support.
  • Maintain organized documentation of each conversation to ensure reliable participant records.
  • Manage a steady volume of phone outreach while delivering courteous and respectful customer service.
  • Handle participant interactions with empathy, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
