Customer Service Representative Location:
Sterling, VA 20166
Pay Rate:
$18.00 per
Hour Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary The Customer Service Representative is responsible for order entry, order tracking, customer communication, issue resolution, and supporting customers throughout the order fulfillment process. This role works closely with Sales, Planning, Logistics, Distribution, and Quality teams to ensure accurate and timely service. Key Responsibilities Customer Support Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email Provide updates on order status, shipments, and product availability Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary Process customer claims and follow up to ensure timely resolution Communicate product quality, safety, and usage information as needed Order Management Enter customer orders into ERP systems accurately and efficiently Verify pricing and product availability before processing orders Process order changes, updates, and delivery adjustments Track open orders and proactively communicate delays or shortages Ensure completed orders are properly closed within the system Sales & Administrative Support Process incoming customer leads and route them to the appropriate sales team member Assist with setting up new customer accounts Maintain order tracking spreadsheets and customer records Participate in team meetings regarding product availability, packaging changes, and supply constraints Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Distribution, and Sales teams to support order fulfillment Communicate inventory shortages and supply issues to customers Provide backup support for team members when needed Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in a customer-facing environment Preferred Associate Degree preferred Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Plex, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms Experience in manufacturing, food production, logistics, or distribution environments Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong data entry and order processing abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to work effectively in a team environment Apply today and join a team committed to delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. #PRTI
