In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers, assist them with their needs, and maintain a pleasant shopping environment will be key to your success. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise. Assist in merchandising products and maintaining an organized and visually appealing store layout. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and encourage sales. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Support stocking efforts by replenishing shelves and ensuring product availability for customers. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station and throughout the store. Utilize strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities within the team. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary. Ability to demonstrate products effectively during demos to boost sales engagement.
