If this sounds like you, Insight Climbing & Movement wants to hear from you! We're looking for motivated individuals to join our Bremerton gym as a Customer Experience Associate. Insight is a values-based climbing gym with the goal of fostering an inclusive and kind climbing community.

• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS ROCK CLIMBING EXPERIENCE

• This is a part-time position, 14-20 hours per week over 3-4 days; applicants will need to work multiple weekday evenings and one weekend day per week.

Position requires walking on stairs and uneven surfaces, carrying up to 40 lbs., and the ability to climb up to 40 ft in height (top rope climbing).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as first point of contact for all customers, both at the front desk and over the phone. Oversee gym safety and enforce gym rules. Educate customers on our products and help them select the best product for their needs. Handle point of sale transactions for members and guests. Orient visitors to the sport of indoor climbing and all the safety policies and procedures involved. Perform belay and lead climbing proficiency tests. Monitor visitor check-in. Perform gym opening and closing procedures. Maintain gym cleanliness and perform daily cleaning tasks. Assist with administrative tasks assigned by Customer Experience Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous rope climbing experience required , belay & lead climbing experience preferred. Must be able to comfortably rope climb up to 40 ft. in height (any grade). Professional communication skills in a variety of situations. At least 1 year customer service experience. Able to maintain a keen focus on safety while creating a fun environment. Experience using POS systems (other retail or restaurant environments).
