Overnight Security Our company The Hampton Inn & Suites Puyallup is looking for an overnight Security person to join our team. We are managed by Puget Sound Hospitality which owns and operates 6 hotels in the Puget sound area. The details Salary range:

$20.91 per hour

Location:

1515 South Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371.

Commute/Transportation:

We are located on a major bus route and we offer a discounted annual ORCA pass. If you prefer to drive, we have free employee parking on site.

Benefits:

Our benefits package is available to full time employees after they complete 60 days of employment. This package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D. We also have 6 paid holidays. PTO is accrued at 0.0538 hours per hour starting on day 1 of employment. We partner with Colonial life to offer supplemental insurance options such as accident, short term disability, and whole life during our annual enrollment. We have a 401(K) retirement plan available to all employees who are 21+ and have been employed for 6 months. We offer Hilton employee room rates as well as Hilton family room rates that can be used based on availability at any Hilton location worldwide.

Work shifts:

Graveyard/overnight The daily job duties The purpose of overnight security is to provide a safe environment for our guests and employees by patrolling the premises on a regular basis, responding to incidents, logging all security measures taken, and taking action to resolve any security incidents. Conduct exterior and interior patrols of the hotel premises on a regular basis. Ensure that the parking area is safe and secured. Check the doors around the hotel and ensure they are properly locked. Patrol hallways and ensure the rooms occupied by the guests are silent in the way they are supposed to be. Monitor the people present in the hotel and take action if someone is out of place. Fill the security log with the small reports of the areas that have been checked. Monitor the alarms and make arrangements for evacuation in case of emergency. Keep in contact with the Night Auditor and assist as needed. Deliver items to guest rooms upon request Light maintenance/clean-up may be required if issues arise in guest rooms/public areas. Ability to work in inclement weather. The Requirements Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Monitors own work to ensure quality. Provides the best possible service to clients and customers. Can be relied upon regarding task completion and follow up. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Must be able to read, speak and write in English fluently. Must be able to write detailed reports. Must be able to respond to a crisis in a calm and effective manner.
