Customer Service/ Logistics Representative

Job Description APG Polytech, LLC, a multi-national manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Customer Service/Logistics Representative for a position at our facility in Apple Grove, WV. Duties and Responsibilities :

Manage customer accounts and interact with external and internal customers in a professional manner. Receive orders via telephone, email, or electronically (EDI). Enter orders, create delivery notes, and manage all steps of the order process from entry to delivery in an ERP system (SAP). Analyze customer's supply line and identify any issues with an appropriate amount of lead time. Create customer invoices, track railcars en route and manage truck shipments and documentation. Analyze and assist in solutions with customer complaints. Assist or be a focal point in the import/export process for customer orders. Assist in managing local and offsite terminal inventory and shipments. Balance and monitor inventory levels for terminals and in the customer supply lines. Create reports based on the requirements set forth from corporate. Work with different types of transportation carriers to schedule, track, or investigate shipments. (Rail, Truck, Intermodal, Containers, etc.) Analyze lowest cost carrier rates to secure customer needs. Interact with and support the Sales Team as needed. Assist in other duties as assigned. Rotate off-hours coverage for emergency calls/issues from customers. Specific qualities and experience for this position include: Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially email utilizing folders and attachments, and Excel. Must be able to create Excel spreadsheets utilizing formulas and various number formats. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience in SAP is preferred, but not required. Previous experience working in a team or group environment is recommended. Experience working with transportation carriers, such as bulk trucks, package trucks, and/or railcars is preferred. Experience with customer invoices, either creation or Accounts Payable follow up is desired, but not a requirement. Salary commensurate with experience. Authorization to work in the United States.
