Customs Entry Writer / Customs Operations Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Customs Entry Writer who can oversee and support customs operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures, HTS classifications, compliance requirements, and physical entry processing. This individual will work closely with the current customs operations manager to help reduce workload pressure, improve efficiency, assist with problem-solving, and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare and process customs entries accurately and efficiently Review and classify products using HTS codes Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and import/export requirements Monitor daily customs entry operations across multiple ports Troubleshoot entry issues, clearance delays, and documentation problems Support and guide customs entry staff with operational challenges Coordinate with brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs officials Maintain accurate records and documentation Assist in improving workflow processes and operational organization Help train and mentor entry writers and support staff Skills Minimum 5+ years of customs entry writing experience Strong knowledge of HTS classification codes and CBP regulations Experience handling physical customs entries Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment Experience working across multiple ports is highly preferred Proficiency with customs software systems and
