Cyber Security Teacher (Part Time)

Summary Moody High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cyber Security Teacher to join our academic team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire students to explore the world of information technology and cybersecurity. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover fundamental and advanced topics in cyber security, including network security, ethical hacking, risk management, and data protection. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and growth. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in cyber security to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness. Organize and supervise hands-on labs and practical exercises to enhance students' technical skills and real-world applications. Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate cyber security topics into interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Provide mentorship and guidance to students interested in pursuing careers in technology and cyber security. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the field. Requirements Proven experience in the field of cyber security, including practical knowledge of security protocols, tools, and practices. Prior teaching or tutoring experience, particularly in a high school or educational setting, is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Familiarity with current cyber security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker) is a plus.
