Duties Provide comprehensive animal care, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring of dairy cattle. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of farm staff involved in herd management. Manage animal handling procedures safely during milking, veterinary visits, or herd movement. Oversee pasture management, irrigation systems, and growing crops or forage to support herd nutrition needs. Conduct regular inspections of farm infrastructure including fencing, barns, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Skills Proven supervising experience in an agricultural or farm setting. Strong animal husbandry skills with experience in livestock care and handling. Familiarity with farm machinery operation such as forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse operations, or growing experience is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment efficiently. Basic math skills for record keeping and measurement tasks related to farming activities. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and safety protocols.
